Lance’s 19 years of experience spans over both the commercial and residential real estate industries with a background in real estate franchising. A Colorado Native, Lance began his licensed real estate career while living in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2001. 

In December of 2007 Lance returned to Colorado with an opportunity to work at RE/MAX World Headquarters as a Senior Business Development and Franchise Sales Consultant. For 7 years Lance specialized in brokering franchised commercial and residential real estate offices throughout the Western half of the United States.

Local to CO since 2013, Lance has consulted clients with their commercial investment sales, leasing, and vacant land requirements; while also offering investor liaison services to Accredited & Non-Accredited Investors for various commercial investment opportunities as well as transacting some single-family home investments.

Lance possesses a unique background in the local real estate community with experience in Sales & Leasing that ranges from working with national clients such as Mears Group Inc., Kindred Health Care, Genesis Health Care, BDF Law Group, ChanceLight™ Behavioral Health, Therapy & Education, Career Staff, to the local proprietors of Colorado like Elite Landscape & Outdoor Living, The Law Network PC, Sunshare Community Solar, The Gunnison Bank and Trust Company, Inverness

Bill brings comprehensive real estate knowledge to the table with over 25 years of experience in brokerage, investment sales and development, having transacted over 5 million square feet during his career. 

With expertise in leasing and investment sales in office, retail, industrial and land, Bill specializes in providing brokerage services in Denver and its suburbs, with emphasis in the Denver Tech Center and South Metro Denver area including Parker and Castle Rock. 

Whether working with an entrepreneur or a corporation, Bill takes great pride in providing integrity in all aspects of the real estate transaction, delivering his client’s timely, knowledgeable market insight and information, facilitating and negotiating each transaction such that value is created, saving client's time, resources and money. 

Prior to joining RE/MAX Commercial Alliance, Mr. Balkovatz was Executive Director of Denver Commercial Realty. The relationship-based firm specialized in commercial real estate brokerage services and consulting advisory for acquisition, disposition and development 

projects.  Notably, Bill was in charge of underwriting the acquisition of a 7 million square foot, mixed-use national portfolio, including 800 acres of land, in twenty U.S. markets. 

Bill enjoys traveling with his wife Evan who is a Southwest Airlines flight attendant, spending time with their two college daughters Alexandra and Natalie, bicycling, motorcycling, hiking, skiing, anything related to classic, muscle or performance cars and loves living the outdoor Colorado lifestyle!
